• Good News For Summer at the Beach!

    New Jersey beachesWe are pleased to report that post-Sandy, federally funded beach replenishment projects are moving on schedule with wide sandy beaches all along the coast awaiting summer visitors!  We extend our appreciation to the NJDEP and the Army Corps of Engineers for their extraordinary efforts in restoring our beaches and to our Congressional representatives, Governor Christie, legislators and local officials who were our advocates for post-Sandy beach replenishment funding.

    The Army Corps of Engineers projects stretch from Sandy Hook to Cape May Point.  Highlighted below is a summary of project completed or scheduled to be completed this summer.  Additionally, the Corps is in the process of finalizing Project Partnership Agreements with Long Beach Island and Atlantic County communities.

    The Jersey Shore Partnership is an advocate of initiatives that are unique and important to the Jersey Shore coastal communities with an emphasis on shore protection and beach replenishment. The Partnership takes an active role in New Jersey’s economy including tourism, coastal resources, vital infrastructure, education and emergency preparedness.
