The Jersey Shore Partnership, Tinton Falls, NJ (October 24, 2023)—John Gagliano, Chairman of The Jersey Shore Partnership (JSP), is pleased to announce the appointment of three new members: Jeff Booker, Carolyn Burtnick, and Jodi Grinwald. Coming from business, government, and philanthropy, the new board members bring years of experience and leadership to help support and further the mission of protecting and replenishing New Jersey’s beaches.

Jeff Booker, a 28-year insurance industry veteran, is the Founder and COO of Legacy's Future Insurance Services and Councilman in Sea Bright, NJ, where he serves as Chair of the Finance, Insurance, and Grants Committee. Councilman Booker also serves on the Board of Directors of 180 Turning Lives Around.

Carolyn Burtnick formerly served as the Editor-in-Chief of a Monmouth County publication, Community Magazine, and Director of Marketing for Direct Development: PR & Design Firm; she was appointed Director of Tourism for Monmouth County in 2022. She also serves on the Board of Directors of The Ashley Lauren Foundation.

Jodi Grinwald recently took the helm as the CEO of MODC (Monmouth-Ocean Development Council) and is a multi-passionate social entrepreneur, non-profit leader, podcast host, consultant, and speaker. She is also the President of Zzak G. Applaud Our Kids Foundation.

“The Jersey Shore Partnership looks forward to the leadership of our new board members bringing diverse expertise and insight to our mission to sustain and protect our beaches today and for future generations,” said Grace Hanlon, Executive Director of JSP.

About the Jersey Shore Partnership:

The Jersey Shore Partnership Foundation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit, non-partisan organization founded in 1991 as a result of a devastating Halloween nor’easter that ravaged New Jersey’s shoreline. In response, former State Senator Tom Gagliano led the effort that year to create the JSP to advocate for a dedicated shore protection fund to restore eroded beaches damaged by severe storms. The JSP continues to be the state’s leading advocate and champion of beach replenishment and restoration to protect our coastline – a national treasure, a major contributor to the state’s tourism industry, and a favorite destination for fun and relaxation.
